Nineteen ago, New Harbinger published my book, The Source of Leadership: Eight Drivers of the High-Impact Leader.  It was my effort to scratch below the well-worn surfaces of hundreds of books on leadership that just seemed to recite the same old lists of the character traits and functions of a leader.  I dug deep to explore eight personal energies that together drive the traits and functions of a leader:  Presence, Openness, Clarity, Intention, Personal Responsibility, Intuition, Creativity, and Connected Communication.
